Loss can touch our lives in many forms.
- The loss of those things that could have been - paths never explored, opportunities missed;
- The world-shattering loss of a loved one through bereavement;
- The loss of those things we always envisioned for ourselves but have not yet come to pass - financial security, a solid loving partnership, having children;
- The loss of a friendship or relationship;
Whenever loss touches our lives, it sets in motion a process of grieving. If we can create space for this process to unfold naturally, the foundations for healing are put in place.
When allowed to flow, grief enables you to navigate this new path that’s been thrust upon you, with grace.
Our culture however would rather us “get over it” instead of bearing witness to our suffering, to our wounds and giving us permission to FEEL and EXPRESS.
This session is an invitation to retreat and carve out time to dedicate to your loss, knowing that you are supported and held in a safe space. Before attending, you are asked to spend some quiet time getting clear on what it is you intend to dedicate the practice to. If you don’t come up with a definitive focus for the session but still feel strongly drawn to attend, of course come, and welcome whatever needs to arise.
We will spend time moving the body through a gently flowing vinyasa sequence, followed by pranayama (breath work), yin and completing with a guided relaxation, giving full permission to ourselves to FEEL.
Emma suffered her own tragic loss 13 years ago with the sudden death of her sister. Since then, she has continued to try and find meaning in her loss, honouring her sister’s memory and wearing her battle scars with quiet resolve.
All levels warmly welcomed.
